Still feeling like crap from this dam cold I was up early as I had to go to the Mongolian Embassy to get my Mongolian visa for the last part of my trip. My trip leader had written the address down for me in Chinese to give to the taxi drivers but every time I asked a taxi driver they didn't know where it was. Knowing that it was somewhere near the silk market I decided to walk in that direction hoping that I could find a taxi driver to take me and after about 2 hrs I managed to find one but it was too late by the time I got there and I could only get the form.
Thankfully I have a few days when I come back to Beijing to get it sorted. I ended up getting a taxi back to the hotel and decided to chill out in the room and read as I had huge blisters on my feet from walking. I then went and got some dinner next door at California Noodle but it wasn't the best tasting food I've eaten but I was hungry so it would do.
On my way back to the hotel I ran into Ruth, who is one of the girls on my trip and she informed me that the group was going to the Lake to check out a few of the bars at 8pm if I wanted to go. I met the group at 8pm and we headed off to the lake. The lake was lit up with lots of fairy lights and there were people everywhere. It was quite a pretty spot to hang out for dinner or the bars. We went to a few bars and spent most of the night negotiating the price of beer. It was kind of annoying, as every time we changed bars we had to go through the whole process again. Plus it was cold so I didn't really enjoy that side of it. I ended up leaving at about midnight.
