Today was a really good day, the two Chinese girls checked out fairly early this morning. I slept until 10 or so, because Marni, Ella and I had gone to the bar until 1 o'clock in the morning the night before. Because Marni had lived here for three months, she had a good idea of where the bars where. We ended up going to a Stockbroker bar, where the drink prices were displayed like stock tickers, so every once in a while, the ´market´would crash, and the drink prices would be very cheap. I learned a very important lesson that evening; drinking Sangria or any other type of alcohol that comes out of a box for that matter, is not a good idea, and chasing it down with a tequila sunrise, a beer, and a mojito, as well as a vodka shot, is also not a very intelligent action. But anyways, I only woke up with the faintest of headaches, before I found the ATM and went to the supermarket. I've found the food to be quite fatty here, but mostly just the tapas. I bought a couple bottles of water and some granola bars. After that, I met my two new roomates and they invited me to go explore with them. So, we had a walk around the pier, before going for lunch in what is alledgedly Spain's second oldest restaurant, which was constructed in the 1700´s sometime. We got a pitcher of sangria, which was really good. After that, each of us ordered a plate which we shared with each other. I ordered paella, and they ordered goose with apples, and calamari. I'm also starting to feel more comfortable with my Spanish, although most of the time they will just answer back in English. This doesn't really deter me. After we ate we had a good look around the shops, before returning to tge hostel for a power nap, which they needed, as they had subsisted solely on one hour of sleep, since they had left London. When we woke up we went out for tapas across the street, and paused to watch a bit of the lunar eclipse. The guy at the front desk was helpful, and named a few good bars that we could go to, which we never did end up finding, but we caught a cab and found a great place that had an Asian theme, which was very quiet for a Saturday night, and then followed it up with another bar down the road. We were going to go for a third, but we were all starting to get tired, so we returned to the hostel for the evening, and went to bed shortly after.
