Last day in Simon's Town - reluctant to leave - this place has been a fabulous base for the whole of the Cape Town, Cape Point, Table Mountain area and we're going to miss it - a week has passed so quickly. High point of the holiday so far - literally! The Top of Table Mountain! It's gone mad here! Woke in the night to sound of a howling gale - apparently it's known locally as The Doctor, as it's supposed to cure all ills - don't know about that - kept me awake half the night...and it hasn't let up yet - the sound of it howling through the ropes (or is that sheets) on the hundred or so yachts in the harbour is amazing. A quiet and relaxed day today - sat most of the morning reading - got sunburnt - had fish & chips on the seafront...honest, and then onto boulders beach for a stroll - in 27 degrees of wall to wall sunshine...mmm bliss
