Day 3 & 4
Short entry since I am tired, have a busy day ahead of me tomorrow and there are some drunk sweds next to me burping and singing.
So on Thursday I went to Kelly Tartlon's Aquarium. GIGANTIC waste of money. First, I waited for the bus by the Skytower to get a $2 ride there but was rudely pushed out of the way by some tourists (i don't consider myself a tourist..I am traveller) and didn't get on the bus. there were only 11 seats. Then i took the free bus to the city bus. When i got there, they were feeding the Stingrays so I watched that. Kinda neat. I walked through the aquarium and thought there was more to it but it was the end. It was so small and so not worth $25. They were feeding the sharks so i thought I would watch that. might as well try to get my money's worth. When I decided to go I had to wait another 20min for the city bus to go back. It was a nice day so I wasn't that pissed about it.
After, I went to the Minus 5 bar. Everything was made of ice. Well except for the floor and ceiling. The glasses we drank out of were made of ice and I found out they are imported from Canada?? so weird. You could only stay in there for 25min. Even though I am from Canada, it was still freakin' cold! It was an alright day with alot of waiting due to poor planning. But i am learning!
Day 4 - Friday
I went to Waiheke Island with Fabian (france guy). I told him I was going and he asked if he could join me. I didn't really want to go with anymore but said yes anyway. I am glad I did. We went to 2 beaches and just lounged around and swam. We talked abit about our pasts and our plans and fears for the future. I liked chatting with him. I helped him alot with his English. He is speaking it better and better everyday. I wore sunscreen but got burnt anyway. That sucked. My fingertips feel burnt too. Thank God for Aloe lotion!
Right now I am at the Bay of Islands. Will write about it later when I post the pics. Which may take some time since I forgot my card reader. Another thing I didn't even think of was the plug in adaptor for my battery charger. I think I might have to spend a full day in Auckland so I can find one. Damn it!
That's all for now. Time to go rest up. It's going to be a full day tomorrow.
Cheers!
