Today was a long day.We got up early to drive to the floating markets that are about an hour away from Bangkok (it is the "good" floating market unlike the one in Bangkok). We also stopped at a coconut farm where they make anything and every thing from coconuts. We road the most crowed train I have ever been on over the River Kwai. It was for the experience for sure.We had lunch at a local Thai restaurant and it was really good unlike the toilets. Paying 3 baht for a dirty squatty potty was the worst 3 baht spent yet.
After lunch we went and rode elephants through the jungle! It was a lot of fun and a neat experience. They also put on show with tricks for us.The drive back took a really long time and we were almost 3 hours late back to the hotel. We were going to pick up our suits but since we got back so late we are just hoping we have enough time to do so on Monday. It would be fun to pick up my suits on my birthday anyways I suppose.
My friend and I (her name's Amanda too!) had spa appointments that we had to rush to since we got back late. Rushing to relax….kind of an oxymoron.I had a milk bath with roses and a traditional Thai massage. I accidentally pulled the plug on my bath and didn't realize till it was half way gone but it was still really neat. The Thai massage was amazing! It was like someone was doing yoga for me. I will definitely have to come back to Thailand now.
I uploaded pictures yesterday but I didn't get a chance to label them all. Some of them uploaded twice for some reason too.Oh well, I did what I could, I'm off to bed. We have to check out early to go to the beach!
