Hi ( again!)
So we are back in Glasgow for the night before Jacinta and I get our car tomoz and head north.
We started off with a great brekkie at the hotel then headed off SE to the ruins of Caerlaverock Castle which was attacked by the English in 1300 ad after a 76 hr siege they gave the castle up. I loved this castle plenty to do and see even the fireplaces were there. It was a such a photogenic spot I loved it so I created a separate photo album. As you know the Scottish are tight bums so they built a castle with 3 walls instead of 4 to save Money building it and less men needed to guard it!
We continued east to Rothwell cross at a church then onto Hadrians Wall. Built 122 AD from the Romans and goes for 73 miles. We took photos then continued on to lunch at a tea room at Gteenhead good old toasties! We then went to Vindolabda to Brunton Turret. Then back up to Glasgow and back to Mary's to where we had Haggis!
Some things I have noticed:
- sheep have tails
- sheep in the paddock have different lengths of wool on their back
- lambs tails ( sometimes) are like a dogs when excited
- you know it's narrow when the 'slow' sign doesn't fit in ur lane and goes over the other lane!
