Hey everyone. We arrived in OZ a few days ago and found a hostel with free internet so we are seriously abusing their generosity. Hope you enjoy this site. Make sure you all use it and keep in touch- better than we have done so far!

We have spent a few days in Sydney and are pleasantly surprised considering there are 4 million people here (totalling the same as the entire population of New Zealand). We generally don't like cities however so far this is an exception. 

We have done the whole toursist scene here, being happy snappy as usual- taking photos of the greyish/brownish opera house, harbour bridge etc. On day 2 we went to the Blue Mountains to do our first bush walk and took a little train into the rainforest, which is at a 53 degree angle making it the steepest in the world. The following day we hit Bondi Beach and watched the Hulk Hogan wannabies strutting their stuff. We fitted in marvelously as we sat stuffing our faces eating our picnic, and then attempting to look athletic playing frisby!

We're moving on today (22nd) heading northwards along the East Coast, chasing the Sun. We have to go start our journey north right now. We'll keep you posted xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
