Nan and Grandpa send their love and best wishes to you. Nan is coming along really well now and goes for walks outside (weather permitting!). There's a postal strike on in uk at moment,causing havoc, and i don't think things will get any better in the near furure. Looks like the town is going to have loads more housing and car parking at the top of Spring Gardens and Central Station might even get a facelift! Gill Hello intrepid travellers! Bet your'e having more sun than us! well, we've had sun Fri & Sat(25th) though it's clouding over at the moment. I have to confess that i've not checked your recent photos although i'm sure they will be as brilliant as the previous ones. I decided to have a double ear infection so i haven't been on computer so much recently. I've a message from your mum Michelle-she sends her apologies, but not so long ago she had composed a message to you both on our computer, but it somehow got 'lost'!! She and Ian had a super break in London with the Hotel being top class and good food. Nan has had a slight delay with knee surgery as she also succumbed to an infection, but she is much better now and waiting for tsest results for Barlborough to send her another date.Not a great deal happening in Gainsboro' at moment, but will be in touch again, lots and lots of love from us all, Gill xxx

WITH LOVE FROM GILL GRANDPA AND NAN (MICHELLE'S) Hi Michelle and Terry, sorry we couldn't send you a card, but hope these greetings will help you feel closer to home. Have a fab day, bet you will find more interesting things in Queensland than here!! Anyway, you are definately not forgotten and will have to have a second Birthday when you return from your travels. Well i can tell you that it is so wet over here, that the only things that seem to be thriving are the slugs in the garden. You can't go anywhere without an umbrella, and today, 17th July, we had a thunderstorm at dinnertime, which of course is typical for Market Day. Don't know if either of you are tennis fans, and probably already know that Roger Federer won men's Singles and equalled Bjon Borg's record of five wins in a row-showing my age now, not sure if you know who Bjorg was! I've been volunteering at 'Age Concern' for a while now, and we moved into our new shop today. We've taken residence in Connell's the florist's old shop-they have moved onto Marshall's Yard. I arrived at the new shop at 1.15pm, the counter was installed by two workmen who happened to be passing by, and i was serving customers by 130pm- hows that for efficiency. There's loads of work to be done, but at least the toilet isn't on the third floor like it was in the previous place! Did you know that Laura Ashley has opened on the new retail site and Body Shop is on its way. Our new neighbours have got two cats which keep pooing on our bank, so nan is going to buy a water pistol and fill it with squash-apparently they don't like it!
