Odd Lovely Days of Danielle
Well today turned out to be quite lovely....School was great and then a group of the international students all went out for an outing in the old city and had dinner together at a native Austrian restaruant....it was awesome...I had these awsome vegetarian stuffed giant noodles...so good...traditional Austrian food. Then for dessert...a warm pancake wrapped with delicious ice cream inside...covered with fresh raspberries...my new favorite dessert...it was so nice talking with everyone and being in a group of people with so many different nationalities...all together under one roof...all very exciting...there are so many wonderful people here...its sad we all have to leave...but everyone here seems to be so genuien...and just have the want to learn and meet cool people...its very refreshing...There is an awesome girl from Slovenia that I made good friends with...I shall go and visit her...soon...and a lovely little lady from Spain...and I to will go and visit her as well.... its so awesome to have so many connections all over the world...Now I can go pretty much anywhere in the world and know at least one person....we decided to walk home from the city because the bus wouldn't have arrived for another 30 minutes...the walk home was amazing...the streets are so old...and the houses are beautiful and so ornate...the weather was lovely...with the sun going down...and the temperture was quite perfect....I want to remember that day forever...we all took pictures after dinner...and it was so nice...everyone laughing and bonding...I could feel a real connection and knew at that moment...it was going to be an expeirence that I was always going to miss....
We crossed under a bridge where it is the only place in Klagenfurt that kids are allowed to practice their grafetti...and draw pictures...it was really awesome...and oh so colorful...I do wish we would have stayed in the dorm to meet more people though...we were so secluded at first...not ever really seeing anyone...right now is how I pictured it to always be...
The walk home was so refreshing...just talking to so many different people and seeing so my different personalities and cultures all intermixing...
Before we went, there was a little old lady about my size...which makes me wonder what size I will be when I am that old...mmmmmm...all dressed up to par...little white gloves..fancy hat...dainty coat..ready for an evening on the town...I love seeing people from other cultures..especially older people in their mode...its so endearing...
So tonight a couple of us all might head to Pazzo...Mehgen and I will go there for sure to hang out with Oli and Martin but I hope the rest accompany us...hopefully the old flirtatious waiter from our favorite Italian joint UNI won't be there this time to join us....
On my way back in from dinner...there was an interesting guy that started talking to me from across the room and seemed really cool at first...just back packing around...but then out of no where he would break out into these loud abnoxious long fits of laughter....Mehgen came out of the laundry room just in time to witness his madness...unfortunatley I gave away that we were all going out later...and lucky us, he is in room 101 and yes...we have room 102...interesting times I feel are about to errupt again...:) Then as I was leaving to go he just broke out into this fit of laughter ágain no one around... or understanding why or what the crap he was saying...and was left with the poor front desk woman that just was staring at him with an uncomfortable look ...what the crap ...he was like completely cracked out....ha..my kind of people..I swear I am like a magnent for cracked out people...but I guess thats why my life is so colorful....it was all quite hilarious...the cracked out people are the best...I love them.
This weekend Mehgen and I prepare for Gräz and Vienne... I want to check out the Conservatory there to keep my options open..in Gräz jazz is huge...and then Tueday I am going to watch a classical concert..and then of course whatever else comes along...tennis, swimming, hiking, paddle boating, mini mundo..( A minature park), and night out in the old town dressed to the 9's, hot air balloon ride, and then hopefully a trip to visit the stars...so the next coming days look pretty eventful.
I have planned that sometime soon I am going to visit the University of Zagreb...the oldest university in Eastern Europe...I would loike to be an exchange student there and get my Croatian perfect. The school is quite fantastic...scholarships..cover everything along with a little bit of allowence...the surroundings are beautiful..and the Vet school and music there, is fabulous...so another oppertunity arises...I have so many I have to write them all down so I don't forget...how fabulous to have options...life is lovely..and its nice to meet people that feel exactly the same...not getting caught up in worries..and the curves that life throws at you...its all apart of the game...they come and they go...I also have the option that I will strongly look into and that is living on a boat with a rich couple for several months while they travel the coasts...I would clean or help them with whatever..along with other workers...and get payed quite generiously...and then get to go out and tour the towns when I am not working....so that is something I will probably end up doing sometime...well time for laundry and homework and then good times...but then again everytime is a good time...always..
