Wow today was amazing! Today we decided to set off for the hills...and yes the hills are really alive with the sound of music heather.. It was fantastic. That is what Austria's all about.. I finally broke out my camera...which is fading fast because I don't have a charger.. We hiked for hours.. first meghen and I found this stream with a little dock and just sat there and talked for a couple of hours, with our feet hanging in the water and sipping on some wine...and talking about how corrupted america and the goverment and the lies that we are taught...and the inhumaneness of animals and on...very stimulating. It felt like a scene from Huckle Berry Finn minus the self made fishing pole (which was a suggestion of course) and the talk about how sick our society is. We saw the fish trying to swim up stream and aweome bird creatures...then we decided to go on our merry way. Onward to the mountains!!!!!!!!!!!!! We hiked so long...and found awesome plant life...awesome clearings...flowers..orange fungus...sheep and goats with long rat tails that drug on the ground....making the sickest sounds....hiked up so far..we could see everything...it felt empowering...the mosquitos are horrible..supposedly there is a big out break of a sickness like lime disease here..that the Austrian people are quite fanatic about and have been getting vaccinated like crazy...so I hope all is okay there...The water was so clean and fresh...we saw the start of a little nature made stream starting... we were literally climbing up a mountain...it was like a 75 degree incline most of the way...the different greenery here is much appreciated. There are poppy's everywhere.....I love poppy's...that good ol' Kansas reference....The mountains are covered in snow..and the trees are greener then ever..We have decided we want to go in a hot air ballon. I have always wanted to do that. We are going to go paddle boating and go into this minature park...luckily we are sharing pictures...we got some flowers for our room to make its drab appearence a little more inviting. Had lunch today at the italien restaurant! Oh Happy Austria Holiday! We didn't have school today because of it and it was nice to see everyone out spending time with their family...They are all about that over here. Last night we decided to just stay in and we just sat up and talked for hours and then looked at the clock and it was 3AM..it was awesome. This morning our cleaning lady came in and I swear I thought she was german until I heard her speaking Croatian...I got so excited and started speaking with her...That was a cool feeling. German and Croatian. I can't wait until Croatia joins the EU and then I will get my citizenship...that is very valuable. Later today we got a little lost in the woods and it reminded me of "ARE YOU AFRAID OF THE DARK?" I used to love that show off of Nickelodian ...it was the watchers woods episode...it was starting to get dark..we were a bit lost and going up is always easier than coming back down...we just followed the stream and I tried to use my girl scout abilities..like which side the moss was growing on and where the sun was positoned in the sky....I was cool.....I wonder what was going on in those woods in 1467? We climbed over this barb wire fence...not tedious... if I hadn't been a champ in my younger days we might have had some problems....had big sticks..we were extreme... Today was fabulous and the weather was the best it has been since we have been here. The natives said that this is the worst weather since 20 years...I tell you its all the globel warming..The lake froze over...which hasn't ever really happened...I am going to jump in it before I leave...I don't care how cold it is...I jump in the fountains at home...so this isn't any different.. There is this really random weird raggedy man that has a dreaded beard that is so long...that goes down to his knees..he just stares and plays the accordian and drinks all day.. and hangs around Klagenfurt..and he emerges at the strangest times..Mehgen and I were going to give him our bottle of wine that we thought was sick...he went into this cafe the other day and sat in front of this girl and had an intersting stare off. He is harmless..just goofy and crazy as hell...He has a bike too. If I were him I would go bike packing all over...but who knows..he probably stole it. Oh, and I don't really enjoy wearing pants that have cat spray or pee on them and then can't wear anything else... because its too late..having a nice mountain breeze come by and then the cat smell whaft into my face..isn't my favorite....so the smell of Skitter is among us...thanks Skitter. So I will be happy to take a shower.....I thought the fresh mountain air would do the trick...but apparently not..I wondered why my suitcase smelled like cat pee.
