Here is a happier blog than yesterday. I found these boots at a vintage store in Paris and they are just my size. Being from Colorado, I decided long ago to collect cowboy boots. I have lots of boots, but this is my first pair from Paris so I thought that was pretty cool. And, they were only 45 euro (about 60 dollars).
Well Lucy and I ventured in to the post office today and got our stamps. Then we proceeded to the grocery store to get a few days worth of food. We did well in the veggie department with printing out our tickets, but then we wanted avocados and there was no picture for that. So in our Franglaise we asked a woman to help us and she wasn't sure either. She went and asked up front and turns out they are a certain price per avocado so you don't have to weigh them. Same thing with the head of lettuce. We remembered our bags this time, and made it home safely. When we got home I said to Lucy "ok so what do you want for lunch?" and she said "I just really want a turkey sandwich with pickles, don't they have any turkeys around here?" Looks like jambon (ham) is the main meat. So ham it is.

Maury Turkey in french is Dinde and they actually to have it. It is quite popular though it is usually purchased sliced or sectioned, rarely the whole bird.
Wendy Good to know because I saw Dinde and had no idea if it was duck or what?
