This afternoon we flew from Mexico to China. We are here for Chinese New Year. This is a celebration held every January for 15 days and is a chance to repay debts and gain good luck to start your new year. At the celebration the people try to scare away the man eating monster called Nian. They do this by wearing red, making lots of noise and letting off fire crackers. On the last day of the celebration there is a lantern parade. We can't wait to celebrate in China this week.
From the 2E travellers and their tour guide Mrs English.
