I'm tired.
Officially!
Today's activity continued to be a physically-draining one.
Before we proceed to mount field, we stopped by a town known as New Norfolk. The guide told us about the history of the town- an ex-convicts formed town as they were forced to move from the Norfolk Island.
Went to Rusell Falls, Horse Shoe Falls at Mt Field. An upward walk to the top of the falls... Argghh!
Took the bus up to the Alphine Forest with Lake Dobson (a glacier-formed lake). Surrounded by beautiful trees! Along the way up to the alpine forest which is like 1000m above sea level, we see the transformation of the forest- from eucalypt, to mixed, to semi alpine to Alphine. Each a scene o its own!
We walked around Lake Dobson, it's again a race to catch up with the guide!! Argghh!!
Then we had our packed lunch there.. And spotted a wallaby!
Next, we took to the Tall Trees Walk... Yup, as the name suggests, it's tall trees! And the guide was trying to rush through the itinerary like crazy! So it's a run run and run race!
And we then got to the Bonorong Wildlife Park. Saw wombat, baby one!! Cute!
Then the famous, but don't look friendly Tasmanian Devils. They ate scavengeously! Apparently they only eat animals with the fur. So the keeper has to feed them little chicks, with fur!! And it was performed "live" for us quite a few times. Eekkkkks!
And yes, the cuddly lazy koala!! My favourite!! They are just soooooo cute!! Aw...
And fed kangaroos which aren't many around. This time, I tried feeding them with the feed on my hand. Felt ticklish.. Hahhaha!!
The last stop was supposed to mt wellington, but didnt as the guide said there was a heavy cloud on the mountain. So we headed to mt Nelson, which is like 300plus meter above sea (and mt Wellington is 1000plus metro above sea).
Side note: got a feeling that the guide just wanted to finish up the tour asap to go dating, cos he brought along this gal on the trip.. Hahaha.. Just scandalous!
Oh yes, met two singaporeans on the same tour groups. Nice women. They are travelling on impromptu arrangement. Meaning, finding hotels when they arrive, arranging for trips when they decided to, going places as they move...Wa! Maybe I should try such thing next time.
Together with the group were also a Malaysian, a HK and a French.
The day trip ended rather early. Bathed and headed out to the bookshop I spotted yesterday. (Shops close at 5 or 6 here.. So got to rush). The books aren't cheap, so picked up a A$5 book and exited.
Next, the supermarket! Then had Kfc for dinner. (yes, u must be thinking this is a joke...) But I'm sick of bread!!!
Came back. Was so tired that I took a nap. It's now 9.30pm.
Yawn...
