Left the campsite at Serooskerke at 9p'clock--great effort by everyone to be ready for the road. A few kilometres took us across the Vearse Dam then across part of Noord Beveland and onto the causeway (about10km long) across two islands to Schowen where we had coffee in a lovely town called Burgh. Went a more direct way than the NS route through a nature reserve along a sandy track. We then crossed another causeway to Goeree. Lunch was at Goodereede(good eating as we named it) Had another coffee while we ate packed lunch. On our way we met loads of cyclists, some on electric bikes, and had a chat with a few as they passed by. Our campsite at Brielle was on a spit of land reached by a small ferry. ferry finished at 6 and we were marooned with no bar open, the cafe closed and very little to buy in the over-priced shop. Very peaceful in spite of being very close to oil refineries and Europort, just up river from Rotterdam. Another sunny and warm day.
