On what was supposed to be a rest day I went with six others to visit the World Heritage collection of windmills at Kinderdyjke. The ride was deadly dull through some of the poorer suburbs of Rotterdam--went over bridges and followed various bike paths. At one time we had to take the bikes down a very steep escalator, ride through a tunnel then go up an equally steep escalator to the daylight. We had to hang on to the bikes for grim death. We went wrong several times and lost Andy,so it took 4 hours to reach the waterbus station at Erasmus bridge. 20 minutes upstream we had to change to a smaller ferry. At Kinder
