After an extremely tiring few weeks we headed down to meet Stus Mum and Andy in a lovely walled town Rothenburg. It is very traditional with churches and towers and amazing cobbled streets. One of the few tourist places where there are quite a lot of shops open on Sunday's. This all year round Christmas shop was definitely worth while to see. More balls and sparkly thinks than you can imagine. Arch was having a field day and tried picking all the soft toys and taking them back. It did make me want to go back at Christmas time to see the grotto though.
By the time we finish we left the others to meet them in Garmish in the evening. We had lunch in the car park and then left a few hours later. We stopped at the Austrian boarder at the fuel station to fill up and a little break brake. We parked round the corner and ended up where someone had emptied their toilet so needless to say we quickly got back in and carried on into Germany. Passing the fairy tale castles we came through some nice mountain villages and arrived in Garmish at about 6pm.
We meet up and went to a nice restaurant for dinner where a slight disagreement about the price of a bottle of wine didn't dampen the night though.
