Last day in New York (so sad) but we didn't waste it. We went out early and lined up to get half price theatre tickets - Emma and I to "Promises, Promises" and Brianna got tickets to Mary Poppins. We then headed to the downtown pier for a helicopter ride. It was AMAZING! We took off from the east side of Battery Park and headed down and did a lap of the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island before heading along the west side of Manhattan Island as far up as Central Park and then back around to the pier. It was all over way too quickly and the view was spectacular!
We then had a quick lunch and then headed to our shows. Promises, Promises stars Sean Hayes and Kristen Chenowirth and as we were attending the matinee and Sean had been sick for a week and a half, we weren't sure that we would have either of them in the show. Luckily for us, they both were! It was brilliant...so funny and they were amazing! We were so lucky they were both in it.
Dinner was at the Olive Garden in Times Square (corny, I know, but had to be done!) and then we headed to the Gershwin Theatre to see....Wicked! The people next to us had flown in from Florida that day and had been up since 2am and had had a very bad day but gave us tips on Disney World. One of them had Cinderella (or one of the actors that plays Cinderella at Disney World) over for Thanksgiving dinner! Wicked, was of course, amazing - although Elphaba wasn't as good as the one in Chicago last time. And that was our last day in New York (so sad).
