Today was our last day in the wonderful city that is Tokyo. We had a lot to sort out but woke up early to visit the tsukijisa fish market which is the largest in the world. It was insane, guys whizzing about on little fish transporters and every kind of sea creature you can imagine laid out in the market. We have exchanged our Japan rail passes and are heading for sendai tomorrow which is towards the north of Honsu. We plan to head to the north island and then down to sotuh island visiting places on the west coast of honshu before heading back up on the east coast of honshu. We visited a controversial shrine yesterday which is really impressive but was associated with the Japanese military during world war two and holds the remains of class a war criminals. lots of black speaker trucks outside which support the leading right wing party in Japan. Tokyo has been really great and I have decided that I will teach in Japan at some point.
