We had to have walked 10 miles today, which probably burned off half the gelato/pastries we've been eating. We started off in the shopping district where there is a farmers market. Then we piazza hopped all along the Tiber River. We stopped for lunch at the Piazza Novona and had Bruschetta and Pizza Caprese. Then onto more Gelato. We needed the sugar boost to propel us up the spanish steps and then back down. We spent an hour walking through the fashion district and passed Salvatore Ferragamo, Gucci, Bvlgari, Fendi, Dolce and Gabanna, Emporio Armani, La Perla, and more. Needless to say we skipped the fashion stores and bought pastries.
For dinner we joined some friends for a Roman Dinner Theatre. It was an Italian Cabaret of sorts but wilder and with more glitter. It was a riot, the alcohol was free and Wes needed plenty of it to make it through. I of course loved the singing and dancing even though I couldn't understand a word that was spoken.
Tomorrow...the Colosseum!!
