We are Sailing
The ruins I saw were really good, and one in particular has some fantastic mosaics. It was built by the Romans in about 3bce. I was particularly impressed by their drainage systems. They were very sophisticated, and the clay pipes were of an amazing quality. It seems that some of the ancient buildings were flattened in an earthquake in 1953 I think. I spend about 3 hours wandering around. Eventually the girls who were shopping decided to head back to the boat, and on the way back, sprung Brian and Stuart drinking! Hows your luck, even the girls will tell you it was a pure accident.
Everyone eventually got back to the boat, by which time Cheryl and Diane had collected the laundry. This had got all sorted, and at about 5.30 we made our way to have showers. Cheryl and I were first.'We then decided to wander down to the bar in the Marina for a quiet drink, as I was dehydrated after all my siteseeing. Later Diane, Brian, Stuart and Heather joined us, along with our sailor friend from Freo. We had a really nice waitress looking after us, but she was having a bad day. We had just ordered a round of drinks, as did the guy next door. Then as she was giving him his drinks, she spilt the whole tray of drinks, all over herself. Poor girl. Her day only got worse, as we could hear some glasses getting smashed on the bar floor a little later. After we finished at the Marina Bar, it was off down town to our favourite restaurant which the girls found when they arrived. The food is very good, service is excellent, and fo what you get the food and drinks are bloody cheap.
Tomorrow we are booked on the Hydro Flite to Bodrum in Turkey. Will only take 18 mins. It is market day, which only happens on Tuesdays. We are all looking forward to it. Well it is 12.51 and I am blogged out. So I am out of here.
