The One Ball Rally
We headed straight for the quietest area which is reached by a dirt road, Thong Nai Pan. There is Yai (Big beach) and Noi (little beach), we went to Yai first and stayed at 'White Sand' in a bungalow for just 300 Bhatt. It would have been lovely as we were on the end of the beach and it was very peaceful but it was raining and also out of season so only a couple of places were open. We could see Noi beach from where we were and it looked a little busier and had water sports, so the next day we got a taxi boat over for 100 Bhatt.
We stayed at 'Star Hut' which was similar accomodation for 350 Bhatt, but a bit more going on. Next to Star Hut was 'Panviman', which is a 5* resort. If you are cheeky you can use their facilities (the only place that has sunbeds)! They also have a very nice restaurant and also worth going up to the pool bar to see the great view. Again it is probably a good place for honeymooners.
Much better beaches than Koh Tao if that's what you're looking for but many people say that Koh Phi Phi is better- so that's our next destination.
