Khajuraho is famous for its erotic temples and is possibly where the Karma Sutra was invented! There is a garden area with about 10 temples inside some are worse or better than others depending on how you look at it! At first we were laughing because all we could see were breasts and we didn't think that was particularly erotic but it went downhill from there...have a look at the pictures to get a better idea! We enjoyed this city, it had a few nice restaurants...

On the way to Agra we stopped off at Bharatpur bird sanctuary which was a nice relaxing stop off. You can hire a rickshaw to take you round and the men are very knowledgable. Apparently it is better seen in Winter but it was still worth a visit. We thought the Taj Mahal was amazing and bigger than we expected. We enjoyed this city. It's like India's Venice, it surrounds Lake Pichola it is very pretty. It has a few restaurants that are mainly roof top so you can look out on the lake while you eat! We did the City Palace tour and also a boat ride which was nice. There is a similar City Palace tour in Jaipur, so we would say it's better to go to one or the other (though Udaipur was the better of the two).
Trust us to arrive on India's Inependence Day- 15th August! Which much to Wayne's disappointment meant no alcohol even in the hotels! Well no one can prepare you for the madness of Delhi so we will just try to explain it. It is so busy and overcrowded too many people, cars, scooters, rickshaws, auto rickshaws, cows, dogs- it's just mad!
