The One Ball Rally
Trust us to arrive on India's Inependence Day- 15th August! Which much to Wayne's disappointment meant no alcohol even in the hotels! Well no one can prepare you for the madness of Delhi so we will just try to explain it. It is so busy and overcrowded too many people, cars, scooters, rickshaws, auto rickshaws, cows, dogs- it's just mad! The noise is unbelievable too, apparently you need three things to drive in India 1. Good brakes 2. Good horn 3. Good luck and that is so true! Our real sight-seeing began here. We have never really been on this type of holiday before as we are normally on the beach. We visited lots of monuments but enjoyed seeing Mahatma Gandhi's memorial and the India Gate. Also New Delhi was worth a drive through to see the Parliaments and Embassys for every country you can think of!
