So this is a quick update of week 4!! I have already forgotten most of the details!!

Sunday brought new roomies to the property in the form of Jason, Jesus and Yamil! Jason is the San Diegan Surf Dude, you had the accent and lingo as predicted!! He surfed with Kelly Slater and the boys a few weeks prior to coming here! Now he's a surfer to know! Anyway I got to know him pretty well! We spent a good bit of time together, discussing life, our faith, watching surf movies and practicing cycling like a tico! (me on the handle cars)

Krissia hooked us up with her car as she went to San Jose for a few days and I was dog sitting 'Nerjuda'! So Jason, Sheena and I took off the Hermosa!! That is a beach with serious waves so Sheena and I splashed in the sea and took photos while Jason surfed! He returned the favour by taking us to the small waves later and waiting in the car for us! So in general we all just hung out! It was fun! On tuesday evening we all gathered at Bleu's house for Fish Tacos made on the bbq beside the pool! April, bleu, sarah, Sheena the boys and I! It was awesome craic! Mostly mimicking each others accents!

Wednesday morning arrived sadly and it was time to say goodbye to the boys! I dropped them to the various bus stops and wished them well!! Lucky I'll get to see Jason in San Diego!!

I had my most incredible experience on Wednesday evening! I surfed during the most BEAUTIFUL sunset, then on into the darkness! It was breath taking! It was so much fun as Sheena, April and I tried to teach Jennifer and Lynsey (girls staying at the property) to surf! I was also stoked because I caught an awesome wave on a really small board! a 6ft5!!!

Thursday!

Morning surf, bible study then i opened the ramp at 4pm and connected with the local kids!! I even had a semi successful conversation in Spanglish (Spanish but if I forgot the word I said it in English) with one of the boys! Christian Surfers Youth Club went really well and when everyone had gone I spent some time chatting with my roomies!

Friday!

Morning Surf with Sheena and we met Krissia out!! Caught a few good ones which im starting to pump on! I dont even know if thats the right phrase! A skype with Conor was followed by bible study with April and Sarah then I returned to the property! I ate a lot of food and practiced my skateboarding for quite a while, while listening to music! I'm improving! I closed the ramp at 5 and cycled to Hannahs for Sarah's birthday party!

We suprised her and ate lots more food and talked and giggled and Krissia put a braid in my hair!! It was delightful! Now I am just sitting on my bed! catching up on my thoughts!!

Reflection!

I am reading through Genesis at the moment and I genuinely am astounded how much I didn't know about the bible!! God has been revealing such awesome stuff about himself and his promises!! It's getting me excited! I have been seriously missing the point! Not once did I think that I'd come to Jaco to work with Christian Surfers and expect their knowledge and understanding of the bible to be so humblely intense. Surfers to me were uber relaxed, too chilled to care about really studying the bible! I was so wrong! I'm inspired!

Life is swell (surf pun)

Miss my family and Conor! And all my fav people but do i miss Northern Ireland?.... NOPE!! Not a chance! I'm made for this!

Anyway time for bed! Surf in the morning :)
