Fairies in Freemantle
Fred and Margaret took us to Freemantle today, a city south of Perth on the Swan River. We had a walk around the shops and market (there was an amazing fairy shop there!), and then had lunch at the Sail and Anchor pub. Freemantle is more historical than Perth, and we walked up the old round tower and the harbour. On the way home Fred took the scenic route and we stopped at a couple of really pretty beaches. We had toasties for dinner, because none of us were very hungry, with Mateus rosé - 'perfick' as they say in 'The Darling Buds of May'! I think we've started a bit of an obsession with that programme!
