Trying to be cultural
We had breakfast outside a café near the hotel, and then walked around the city to get our bearings. Perth is really nice and clean, and because it's relatively small we could walk around it quite easily. We ended up in Chinatown and eventually found the Museum of WA, which was randomly full of stuffed animals, and the Art Gallery. After all that culture we went back to the Swan River, and decided to take the ferry over to South Perth, and the zoo! It was only $9 to get in, and we saw all the usual tigers and koalas etc, and also managed to get really close to the kangaroos who were really friendly. The zoo closed at 5pm, so we got the ferry back over to Perth and went to the hotel to change. We went for a chinese in the Northbridge area again, and saw a lot of groups of aboriginal and homeless people, which was weird as Perth feels really safe during the day.
