Dolphin spotting!
We left the Banana Bungalow this morning and travelled by bus and train to Hermosa, where Lisa's cousin lives. He picked us up in his cleaning van, so me and Daniela squeezed in the back with our rucksacks and his hoovers! Mike took us to lunch next to the hostel we're staying at on Hermosa Beach, and then left us to get settled into our room, which has no bathroom!
In the afternoon we walked along the beach to Manhattan Pier, where we saw dolphins playing near the shore just as the sun was setting. They actually made my week! The house along the beach are amazing, and it's so much more chilled out here, with people jogging and rollerblading everywhere - this is the LA that I was expecting!
We went out with Mike and his friend Jeff in the evening, and they took us to Sushi bar. Normally I love sushi, but when it's mixed with Sake bombs (Japanese shots dropped into beer), it's not so good! The old mayor of Hermosa also came to drink with us, but he didn't make it to the 12th Sake bomb!
