"Can I get a hell yeah?!"
Today was the day of crazy people, the first of which was an old man clad in leopard print pants and nothing else on Muscle Beach! We left the Venice Beach hostel today and caught the bus to Hollywood, which was a real experience, not just because it was the first time we had to carry our rucksacks far! On the bus a 60-ish man starting talking to me, and didn't stop until he got off the bus an hour later. As well as telling me his life history, he also told me all about his philosophical books that he has written and gave me his address 'so I can write to him in six months' - not sure I like buses, especially in LA where all the normal people seem to avoid them!
We eventually got to the hostel and opened the door to our room to find a guy asleep in the bed! After a lot of screaming we went back downstairs and found out that we had been booked into a dorm room, which we hadn't asked for - think we may have looked a bit stupid after all the screams! Luckily they had a free room at their sister hostel down the road, which is where we had originally wanted to stay anyway.
We then ran to the CBS studio, as we had tickets for 'The Late Late Show' hosted by Craig Ferguson. Val Kilmer was one of the guests which was good, but slightly ruined by all the Americanism, mostly from the warm-up guy, who kept saying 'Can I get a hell yeah!' and making weird rock signs! Epitome of awful Americans!!
