We have arrived in New Zealand after loads of hassle at Tahiti Airport; they would not let us board the flight until we could provide a plane ticket leaving NZ. This is a requirement in most countries but we have never been asked for proof wherever we have been before. I had checked the NZ Embassy site beforehand and they did not mention this so we were not very happy. Anyway an hour and 2000 pounds poorer later we were allowed to board the flight. We got to NZ and did the guy on customs ask for proof that we had an airline ticket to leave?? No he did not! We were met at the airport by Tasha (daughter no.3), Chris and Ryan (Nick's brother and nephew) which was very exciting. It was great being able to speak English to everyone. This evening we went to watch Ryan rugby training for Tapuiri under 8s (they all seem to know the rules at 8 years of age! The coach didn't have to say once tackler move away - Nick reckons they could teach Trimsaran 1sts a few things)!
