Another amazing day in Stavanger, Norway. Went to the Hairdressers this morning whilst Betty and Bodil went for a walk, then we came back for lunch and drove into Stavanger from Sandnes. We walked along the wharf to see many Tall Ships from around the world. Danced to a little sea shanty then stopped for a drink where Betty managed to drink two glasses of beer. Actually she bought one for Bodil, but as Bodil was driving she couldn't drink it. Spent some time looking at all the different nationalities of people walking around the wharf while Betty disappeared taking photos. Had my photo taken with two Russian Sailors. Egil joined us and then we went to Jan's House which is on the ninth floor overlooking the harbour of Stavanger. Jan's house is so beautiful and he gave me a Norwegian Jumper to keep me warm. Yes, summer has yet to reach us, but it is certainly following us - Amsterdam is now quite warm and Oslo has reached 30 degrees I think we are a day ahead of the warm weather. Shared waffles with Jan, Egil and Bodil and then Jan bought out the Remy Martin Champagne Cognac. First sip a bit bitey, but the rest of the glass went down well. Jan bought out old letters from Ida and he also had two letters from Mum and Dad. How amazing it was to be able to read Mum's words that she had written so many years ago. Tesen Takk Jan and Bodil.
