Last day in Sapporo today before catching the overnight train back to Tokyo.
I didn't think this place could get any colder then last night it started to snow....and when I say snow.....I mean proper snow! Not the stuff that falls in Preston and gives you false hope of a white Christmas!!! This is a major covering of thick aunt bessy icing sugar!!!
But all is could because we had a heated blanket at our coach surf stay with Anna. However, body warm, head freezing!!! Laid in bed and I can see both mine and johns breathe!
Woke to the top layer of bedding wet with condensation!!! You can't imagine this cold!
After waking and layering on the clothes we headed for Sapporo zoo. We faced lions, tigers, bears, but the most frightening animal at the zoo.......THE BLOODY CROWS that tried to STEEL MY MEAT ON A STICK!!!!! There I was, happily enjoying nibbling on this edible warm produce when from out of nowhere a crow dives for me, I duck and laugh, next thing this massive black evil prehistoric flying killing machine comes swooping at me!!!!! I dive to the left, bury my snack in my coat and try to make a dash!!!! But this beast ain't giving up, all I hear is john shouting "DROP THE MEAT!!!! DROP THE MEAT"!!! I look up to see 2 members of staff running to my rescue with sweeping brushes?!,??!? John still shouting, I look up and see this monster with a 2metre wing span, my only choice.........too drop.....the MEAT!!!! So I had no choice, I dropped it and ran!!! That was my near death experience with a Japanese crow! I'm lucky to be alive.

Hasan I hear you....I think we both need to book ourselves in to the inanse asylum! And I don't even have the excuse of palace duty! Love the picture of the tiger....Am partial to tigers, as you know. Going soon to visit my own! Get some sleep, drink some wine, anything! Just don't quit on me now!
