To save a little money over night train it was then. And to be fair, a lot better than what I expected! Heated...mat...thing, curtain, cushions....quite comfortable. John loved it, so much so he slept in only his boxers!!! Every now and then I was woken by major banging, train coming to a dramatic holt, at some points it felt like it had left the tracks!! But we arrived safely at 6am in Sapporo in the freeeeezzzzzziiinnnnggggggh cold! I'm not joking, the ladies are either rock hard or totally bonkers!!!! It's Baltic and ice everywhere and they go out in the highest heels ever, with the shortest skirts!!!! Me, got my long johns, 3pairs of socks, 4 layered tops, 2 scarfs, 2 pairs of gloves and 1 bright pink owl hat (which the Japanese find very amusing). All credit to um i say, they are a lot braver than me!!!
