as much appeal as the smoggy, sticky and endlessly busy streets of bangkok have, it was time to venture further afield! we headed 4hours north - west to the lush, green, almost wild-thai jungle like, national park called Erawan, - named after the elephant god, due to its resemblence overall, apparently. Needless to say it was beautiful. We trekked our way up the semi-path , then climbed rock, trees, roots, pools and mud to take in the beauty of each of the 7 leve...

quite possibly the most painful yet amazing expierence iva ever had ... traditional thai massage ive never known someone to be able to give such a massage using their own body to do it ... interesting but wow... after we trekked for miles to find the all mighty golden budda and wow was he golden :0 impressive to then be on lock down in the hotel due to the huge rain cloud which has caused and thunder storm ... and when it rains in bangkok it rains... puts englan...

time for thai cooking school.... an expierence and a half visiting the not so animal friendly markets... where caged frogs are a local delicacy, and fish are starved of water interesting to say the least but the other food avaliable was amazing... and where chillies are considered something like salt and pepper (something to be had all all food, including fruit). Having a chance to mingle with other fellow english speaking was music to our ears even if they were ...

so the day was full of wats! The shiny, sparkly, guilted thai kind, ones that just pop out of nowhere in amongst the concrete and tuk tuk jungle that is the rest of the city; the ' so wats that in pounds? ' like 3p - excellent!; the ' ' 'wat on earth is that fruit? and oh my how does it smell that horrific?! ' and the 'wat the...how hot is it, i'm actually dripping!'

So after and hr and half delay, a cabin full of welsh lions fans, a cheeky drink up in the skies, a burst of over whelming heat, one taxi a near death experience in a tuk tuk we have finally made it to our hotel .... Hello Bangkok :) now time for some food
