As soon as we were finished horseback riding we were rushed/ushered off to Mad river who is our outfitter to raft the Snake River. The snake was running at 14200 cfs and is a class 2/3. Lots of wave trains, and eddies were non exsistant. We were in an eight man raft with cataract oars in the rear. James our guide really controled the raft. We just helped him through stickey holes.
I spotted a bald eagle while we were on this trip flying along the tree line. It was the first one MB had ever seen in the wild. What a place to create that memory!
There was one signifigant rapid called Lunch Counter that had a ginormous hold on the right and two crashing perpendicular waves. Everything else was long wave trains. RUN THE MEAT! After a 40 minute shuttle back to the car we headed over to our hotel.
