After a slow morning we made our way to a bikeshop to buy a map and get some information trail information on the area. Bend has amazing trail systems ranging from long shuttle rides, to series of stacked loops right out of town.
We were sent to Paul's trail system which is single track similar to bavingtown but without the roots, and hills. Fast flowy perfectly build moondust covered single track. MB was running up the small steady inclines in her funk to fog to fire day.
We were directed to the 'whoops' trail which is directional and accessed from the top of a logging road about two miles long. At the top we stopped for a break and met some locals (gabe and heffe) who where nice enough to take our picture and give us a great way to get back the car. I am glad we followed their suggestions.
On the way out we were essentially pushed off the trail by some dude in a green shirt. I made a point to catch, and pass him. Fool. You can't beat me at my own game. I stomped out the next two miles with who I thought was MB on my tail. Nope, it was dude in the green shirt. At the next major intersection I pulled over wait for MB, and finish our AWESOME 20 mile ride.
Considering we did not get MB's master cylinder fixed in Boise we decided to hit a couple of shops to see if we could find one. After 4 shops we decided to call ahead to San Diego and have one put in there.
We ate dinner at 10 Barrel which is a micro brewery in town. They were growing hops off the side of the patio. Very cool. We swallowed some substance and Apocolypse IPA, and made our way to Crater Lake.
Bend Oregon is by far one of my favorite places in the country.
