We headed back to camp and took showers. It was early in the afternoon so we decided to head to the closest town 20 miles away and grab a few six packs. We hung out at camp and utilized the free wifi so Jason could check on his email while we waited for dinner. This is the most relaxing part of the entire trip and I am glad we decided to build it into the end.
A few more groups showed up and we all had dinner togeather in the 'dinning barn'. Applewood smoked chicken, sweet tea, fresh potatoes, greenbeans, salad, ice cream, and jalapeno bread. Everything was excellent.
For dessert I had a smokey porter from rogue. Very good, and according to the bottle perfectly pairs to peanut butter and Jelly. Two six packs and few tequilla shots later we sat by the campfire and enjoyed the moment. I finally made a smore after driving with the ingredients for 8500 miles. The reality of the end of my grand adventure is setting in, as elton John sings candle in the wind this journey is flickering to a close. I am ready for home, kia, my bed, and no longer living out of a duffle bag.
