Today was the first day we were not woken up by the inside temperature of the tent. We headded up to the community building for breakfast and then set up a shuttle to remove a large climb from the ride. Our shuttle driver was Masse's polar oppisite, a soft spoken quite ginger. This was his summer job.
We were dropped off at the top of Bear Creek Trail. After a few sketchy switchbacks it opened up into bombers paradise full of fast tables and whoops. This led into Pinhoti 1 which was comprised of tight bench cut single track. I definitly left the ground quide a few times on this one.
Pinhoti 2 was screaming fast flowing single track. My favorite by far. The trail surface was a tackey pine that my tires loved. The bottom half was a much loomier surface, but still grip and ripable. All of the riding consisted of along gradual up, middle ring fun, and then a blazing fast down following the natural terrain. I would like to buy who ever put this trail system in beer. I will be coming back here again.
