Just in Airlie Beach at the moment, catching the overnight bus for my final time (wahoo!!) upto Cairns. I arrived in Airlie beach on sunday, the 'gateway to the whitsunday islands'. Nice little town, with main street running through it and lagoon area overlooking the sea and harbour. With the huge number of saling boats moored up all over the shot! If you have enough money for a boat this is one place you'd want to be-must be so nice to just go out and explore the whitsundays at your own leisure! I did get to experience 3 days and 2 nights sailing around the whitsundays. Set sail on monday with  'princess elaine' (from fraser island!) :o) and returned on Wednesday. We didn't live aboard the boat though, which meant we didn't get to see as much of the islands and i proberly would of liked but the islands we did see were really beautiful (whithaven beach is stunning!), and the resort we stayed at on south molle island was great-it had a lovely pool/spa, tennis courts, golf course, large bar, shops. Was really nice just to be out at sea...got the chance to do some snorkelling-the coral, large turtles and a huge array of brightly coloured fish in all shapes and sizes. The group of people on our board were all pretty nice too. was abit dubious as the 'pride of airlie' boat is renowed to be the 'party boat' but everyone in our group was pretty laid back which was good coz the last thing i really wanted was a 'booze cruise of the whitsundays!'-did have a few drinking games 'forced' upon us thou! Know it's a short n sweet entry again but i'll do a better job next time....n yes i know i still need to put up more piccies-just haven't got round to it just yet....!   Can't beleive i've travelled up the east coast already...and i've now got less than a month left in oz...time is just running away from me.... ...keep me updated with the goings-on back home take care everyone love tori xxx
