In Noosa now, i arrived here on Sunday with JB, and i'm staying here till Saturday. On our last full day in Brisbane we decided to head to Wet n ' Wild water park and had such a laugh there-loads of really good flumes and it was such a nice day! Nothing beats the day i've had today though...TODAY we went to AUSTRALIA ZOO-home of the late Steve Urwin. It was absolutely brilliant-we saw loads of crocs, alligators, tigers, bird of prey, reptiles, fed kangaroos and elephants, cuddled koalas (...and yes i did pay the $15 to have my photo taken with a koala-you've just got to haven't u?!) The zoo was absolutely lovely though, so well maintained-nothing like the ones back home-everything is very hands on and you can see all the keppers and volunteers share a real passion and respect for the animals they're working alongside. I loved to so much i picked up a job application form (just out of curiosty!!hehe!).
Noosa itself is lovely which is why i have decided to extent my stay here by a couple of day. The beaches are endless and there is a huge national park to explore. After just chilling out on the main beach and having a quick explore of the town on our first day here. Yesterday we went for a walk around the outskirts of the national park along the beach boardwalk up to the headland and found a lovely little beach on tea tree cove. It was so peaceful and the sea colour was absolutely amazing (had to be seen to be believed!)-there was only us and about 20 other people on the whole beach!this is what australia is all about!!
Tomorrow i'm heading out on a ocean kayaking trip, hoping to encounter some more vild dolphins (so fingers crossed!)...
