Finally arrived at the campsite after a very stressful journey. Train, bus, taxi, taxi and no sleep led to me becoming slightly hysterical, and this was not helped by the major Red Bull come down! The guys went off to the races and Jen went back to the centre and I enjoyed a day of sleep and chilling out on my own in the campsite. Seriously what I needed after the crazy week we had just had. This was the first night Jen and I were apart - felt so weird! I slept in the transit van with Jess and Jen slept on Soph's floor in his hostel. This will teach us not to find accomodation in advance! But I love camping so felt very at home.
Feeling human again on the 2nd Jen and I could check back into our hostel. We visited the fish markets where we had an amazing seafood platter. Made a change from our usual diet in Sydney of Sushi, Smooties and Vodka!! On Wednesday we had a day tour to the Blue Mountains. It was a shame as the weather was pretty rubbish but it was nice to have a bit of excercise treking through the valley. Our tour guide was also possibly the most annoying man I have ever met. After forgetting 2 people and having to go back to Sydney to collect them, he proceeded to talk, non stop, all day! Everything was 'incredible' or 'unbelievable', when really, in actual fact, it wasn't at all. Other than that it was a really good day and we saw some amazing views. We also went on the steepest railway in the world - dont even get me started - scary! In the evening we got taken out for dinner by Jen's family friends in Little Italywhich was lovely.
The past few days we have spent chilling out in Sydney and eating sushi rolls! We went over to Manly for another day on the beach and walked around the harbours, Opera House and Botanic gardens. Had another crazy night out in Empire with everyone. Tonight we are getting the overnight bus up to Byron Bay and I am so ready to get to the beach. Sydney has been crazy and so much fun. There is so much to see and the nightlife is awesome but I think it is time to chill out now. It has been great to spend time with the guys from home. So much banter! Hopefully we will all meet up up the coast!
Right, think I am finally up to date. Will post some pictures of the sights and the mad nights out. Keep the messages coming! Lots of love! xxx
