ROAD TRIP!! Picked up our car (which we named Myrtle) and caused a bit of a fuss so got lots of money off the rental (standard). They had tried to give us this gigumbous BRAND NEW Crysler which we had to pump up the seat in to see over the dashboard - no thanks! Cannot believe we are in the USA already! Insane. Spent 1st night in LA (after traveling all night) in Venice Beach. Wandered around the cute little boho area - freak shows, homeless people, vintage shops and gorgeous boutiques. Felt a tad unsafe so the next day we migrated to Hollywood (not much safer) where we met up with the FRRGs again. Checked out the walk of fame, shops, Hollywood sign etc. Back on sushi - get in!
