Arrived after the overnight flight from San Fran very tired but couldn't check in until noon. Found Boston sooooo cold after California but instantly loved it. It was such a beautiful little college town with gorgeous houses and lots of flowers and greenery. Spring was definately a good season to visit.
Had a minor disaster the next day with the loss of Jen's credit card and so spent a fair few hours on the phone to the bank. We still managed to fit in a few touristy/site-seeing activities though. We went on a 'Duck Tour' of the city which showed us all of the historically important parts. You basically cruise around on this amphibious jeep thing which drives around the city and then gets in the river and becomes a boat. very weird. That afternoon we headed to Harvard to spot any potential future husbands - unsuccessful, before eating dinner at 'Cheers'.
Our last day in Boston was spent walking the 'Freedom Trail' around the city, followed by another 2 mile walk in search of Magners Cider. Finally found an awesome Irish pub and sat in the sun drinking all afternoon. sweet!
