Today was a little cooler out than normal. Tried a new way of making bacon that our friends from Kamloops showed us: cook on the BBQ and sprinkle brown sugar on them. While this works well on a large BBQ, the small travel size ones have too much space on the grill tines and it wasn't long before the grease ignited and char broiled the bacon (excellent breakfast carcinogen). needless to say the remaining bacon went into the oven.
On the agenda today - waterslides! Olivia has been looking so forward to them as last year she had so much fun. Was only supposed to be 27 and partly cloudy, but ended up getting to +34! We spent the majority of the day on the River Riot ride which is a tube run if sorts. It was a ton of fun and good bonding time for us. Kim and Emily opted for more shopping instead of the slides. Bought a couple things but mainly walked around downtown Vernon and checked out stores.
Few hours later headed back home, just in time for the thunder shower. Supper to come then of course another game of risk!
