Decided to go to the O'Keefe Ranch today. We had noted this spot last year on the drive back home to Edmonton and made it one of the places to check out this year. Historic buildings spread over a large area of land, something like a mini Fort Edmonton Park. Took a tour of the original O'Keefe's family house. We had a guide that explained the history of the area and of the O'Keefe family, who still live in the area generations later. From and old school house to small church, there was lots to read up on the history. I enjoyed it, kids maybe not so much. Still, everyone enjoyed it. Even got to see a wedding procession that was being held on the grounds. On the way back we stopped in at a local market off the hiway. Features goats and a couple other animals as well as store with fresh fruit etc. kids were excited to feed the goats, little did they know that goats have quite the mucousy tongues. There was a "yuck" face then off to the washroom to clean up! Haha!
Tomorrow it's up early and off to Kamloops to visit friends.
