Day 2 of my new Mindset.
We’ve met an amazing friend.
The longest friend I’ve had in Bali ….the friendship, all of 2 weeks old is proving ……rather intriguing. Funnily, as the Universe delivers it…… I have met my “Ex” ….. he is the “Ex” in his marriage. He lives near the Gold Coast, is going through a divorce currently and has moved to Bali to start a new life. A very honest guy who is seeing a “young” girl. To make it more interesting, he checked into the airport (on my plane), and watched the dynamics as the Yeats family checked in with our …. 101 suitcases and $500 excess luggage bill . We sat in a café the very next day, next to each other. He was very welcoming and friendly and being months ahead of me in the Bali Life Transition, he is a bundle of information, advice and caring. The girls just love him! A very warm open “mature” soul, that I know will be my rock in the bumpy times over the next few months. It’s great to get a male perspective on that dirty word - Divorce and all topics around Lust, Love and so-called “Being in Love“.
We sit for hours talking about our lives and current circumstances and how our lives are unfolding …and now I TRUELY believe that people cross paths for a reason. To have the male perspective is nice. He’s very direct and honest (and at times confronting), but there is a reason this man is sitting in MY Ubudian world right now, this place has ways of showing its’ magic. I know I will learn a lot from this man and his young girlfriend also. What’s funny is my star sign book for 2011 stated a mature man will enter my life and give me guidance to a path of the least resistance. I have been wondering for months (as I read the entire Years forecast back in the New Year!) who this person would possibly be? It’s all unfolding before me in front of my very eyes.
As we sat today going through photos of our “past lives” back home….. I think I gave him food for thought, from the “wife’s perspective” too. So I hope in the time ahead as our friendship grows, that I too can give him in return what he is giving me - as he’s my only friend in Ubud to confide in. It's certainly not the same as having my “girlies” back home who have been my Rock these past months. (I Miss you all terribly by the way!)
Ubud is all about serenity ….. In even my comatose state laying by the pool reading books all day in the sun, I’m sure I’m still the most highly strung person in Ubud. I cant wait for the “magic” they say will take hold within a few short months. In Bali one cannot stay “sad” for long. The Gods make sure of that, so they believe. Come on Gods, sock it to me!
Today our new Nanny Komang started with us just for a few hours. The girls were beside themselves, they LOVE Wayan. I went off and met my newly found Male Mentor for coffee and checked out the Yoga Barn and I came home to three very happy and over excited girls ….. out in the lane riding on our bike! Yep Wayan was showing the girls the laneway full of puppies, chickens, children and the kindergarten next door. Oh the excitement, so Erica has to get her Biking Skills sorted asap.
Brookie then got dressed for her private Ballet lesson with a beautiful friend of a friend. So Brooks off on her little venture, her very fit and athletic new European dance teacher has taken her off for 90 minutes of dance and Yoga. Yoga mat in hand, her beautiful little dancers body, with a Bali Sun-kissed tan and her new “Maggie Simpson” bike helmet and a smile like nothing else. “Mum, who else goes to a private dance lesson with a yoga mat under their arm, on a bike…in a place like Ubud”. Reality hit her today, this was her new life, and this was only the beginning of her “experiences”. So excited is she, she’s going to start her own little Blog just for her and her friends. Watching the excitement and amazement in her voice and her smile, made my day.
All is going to be good. All is going to be amazing. Today our Balinese Gods are looking after us well - we are on the right path.
Lots of love to you all x
