Days three and four in Peru

We both woke up red and sore, the previous days lesson a painful one and surely one we would pay heed to. Off we set to the beach, two deckchairs and an umbrella. All that was missing was me hitching up my jeans, donning a hankie hat and paddling into the sea. We sat there eating our cornettos and reading our books, lovely. The only two Europeans to be seen. It was a gloriously sunny day the smog of the day before had gone, we were relaxed and watching the day go by.
In the evening we decided to treat ourselves to a posh meal, traditional food, Peruvian beer and Pisco Sours, lovely. Paying the bill was an ordeal, taking half an hour and encompassing a trek through Miraflores to the hotel. Apparently our barclaycard connect isn't connecting. After trying twice, to no avail, I was then sent to a bank, still no luck. I ended up on a round trip to the hotel while Lisa sat all alone with the waiters bringing her an assortment of rubber gloves. I got a different card, m and s mastercard, which worked. But the meal was fantastic and was nice after two days of pizza.
We woke up day four, took ourselves to the supermarket and bought; ham, bread, mayonnaise, olives, drinks and strawberries all for £4. We ate them in the park, like a school field trip picnic. We are of course backpacking and trying to be frugal. We then did a bus tour of Lima, to be honest four hours is stretching it a bit, but it was fun. We went to a peruvian museum which had loads of pottery, the highlights of which you can see in the pictures. Some of them are a bit blue. Tour over we relaxed took it easy and watched a movie, the heartbreak kid, I've watched it so you don't have to it's a terrible atrocious movie, Ben stiller should not be able to look himself in the mirror.
Things I have learnt
1. Peruvians love whipping their whabs out and breast feeding. Anywhere any time. Not judging, just saying.
2. Explaining why your card has been declined is tough if you can't speak the local language.
3. Running through Lima in loafers trying to get money is only amusing the next day.

Canthelpbutwriteabouteverystupidthingido.ca We woke up today the sun was just awakening from the slumber of setting the previous day, what a site to behold, I thank the lord and the peruivan gods for such a delight. Once my eyes had accustomed to the beauty that god had bestowed upon us we began our journey, firstly I showered the previous days sins from my body while feasting upon the natural essences of the natural water that enveloped me. Oh what a joyous shower, I truly felt that my soul had been saved. I hence moved from the shower to the to the welcoming bowl of the toilet, where upon I gave until god as he had given to me, after losing 2 and 1/2 llbs and wiping my soul clean I then took upon myself the task of dressing. HARK Lisa calls put thy clothes on Martyn, dress how god intended, where upon I did robe myself in khakis and a gap polo shirt and socks. Breakfast said I, let's feast like the gods of old and remember to purchase with our M and S credit card. Hither thee to the beach said I and let's envelop ourselves in the warm salted seas of the earth.
