Up and out on our final day in the city. Logan was ready to be done. He wanted to go back to the room as soon as we finished breakfast. We ate at a place that was a few doors down from our hotel. Food was really good and at the table behind us was a group of people including the actress who plays the grand-daughter of Tom Seleck on Blue Bloods. So NYC had a celebrity sighting as well.
After some time walking down 5th (or was it 6th) Logan was really done and Gary was feeling really sick. So the boys went back to the room to get ready for our flight homw while the girls continued on.
Ciara and Jayme ended up walking further througgh mid-town and ended up going into the NY Public Library building. There were very impressed and Jayme has a great photo out of one of the windows (check NYC Last Day pics). They did some shopping, grabed a coffee and made their way back to the room to grab their stuff and head to JFK.
We had a car service to JFK and the ride out was great. Our driver was New York born and raised. Right in Hell's Kitchen. He is a single father of two and had a TON of stories to tell. We took mostly all surface streets and at one point we were passing by a cemetery and we all started talking about it so he pulled in and stopped. We were at the spot were they burried Marlon Brando in the Godfather. A great city view and all them names on ths stones were old mobster names! Some of the dates were are far back as the late 1800s. It ware a really neat and unexpected ending to our trip.
We already have a list of things to do the "next time" we come!
