Hello. Yesterday I arrived in sydney after an 9 hour flight from Bangkok
to Sydney. The flight went really well and I met a really nice giriil called
Jo from England who is currently living in sydney. She gave me a run down
of things to do and gave me her business card and told me to get in touch
and we'l go out for drinks. We arrived really early in the morning and when
we got to the hostel I was greated by a really big hug from Laura. It
was so nice to see a familar face. We checked in to our 8 bed dorm, 4 guys
4 girls and we set out to see sydney.
We did some food shopping and sorted out an australian sim carrd for me
as I am going to be here for 2 1/2 months I thought it would be the easiest
thing to do. The weather wasnt too good either so we thought we would do
the boring stuff whilst the weather was bad. The weather then perked up and
we went a sat in Hyde park dipping our feet in a cristal clear pool. It was
heaven. We chilled out there for about an hour iin which Lillie got burnt!
We then headed back to the hostel cooked some spagetti and chilled out wit
sme of the girls we met earlier in the day. We had a blast, there was a
travel chat evening with free cheese and wine.. we managed to blag 3 bags of
goon (boxes of cheap wine) from the travel rep and she told us to stash it
in our bags and head to drink it in our dorms. Lisa and Kat joined us. Yvette
the traVelrep also gave us free internet, free phone cards and made us outfits
for the evenings 'nurses and drs' party. She basically emptied her first aid
kit which was pretty funny!! We went to the party and managed to blag
even more free booze, this time free beer and shots. We ended up getting
very drunk on absolutely nothing - achievement.
Today we woke up and met with kat and lisa again and went to see the opera
house. It was ammmmazing!! So big. The skies were blue and it just looked SO
impressive. I was very pleased to see it. We all had the obligitory photos
thhere and then went for a walk around the botannical gardens, these
were absolutely beautiful and an amazing place for a picnnic. You can see
the sydney skyline behind all the treees it was ace!
After the opera house, harbour bridge and the gardens we caught a bus to Bondi
beach. It was ammazing, apparently its not a very nice beach but we loved it.
Full of very attractive men and the beach was clean - what more could you want?
Me and Lillie went for a splash in the sea but got knocked over so many
times, the waves were crazy and the current was really strong but it was a
real good laugh. We got out, had a sleep on the beach and just chilled on
bondi untill about 7 when we caught the bus back to town. We went to woolies
to get us some lunch for our trip to the blue mountains tomorrow and stopped
in a very cheap shop where we all brought something.
Its Lillies birthday tomorrow and we have soo much planned. We are going to
the blue mountains, then we have a free 50 dollar bar tab b ecause its
lillies birthday and then we are going to hit kings cross for some drinking
it should be really good fun. I cant wait.
I LOVE AUSTRALIA. I want to move here.
