Got some breky in the morn, said bye to the Taiwanese dude who was also flying to India. Mine and Yasu's flight was a both at 2, he was off to Jordan, so had to wait a few hours in the hostel. Was one of them really long waits which seemed to really drag, everything was kind of quiet, and its always a bit sad leaving a good place, and also going from the known to the unknown. Got the adventure nerves, knew I was ready to embark on another little step of my trip.
We got bus to the bus station, then another to airport. There was all the commonwealth flags which lined the road to the airport, ready for Prince Charles and the gang. I tried to name them all and got most of em. Said bye to Yasu. Got talking to an Israeli dude in the airport, who had just finished 8 months of travel. The whole SE circuit and the subcontinent. As with most the Isrealis he had just finished his 3 years national service and had fled for Asia to have a killer holiday. He was just about to fly home, and said he was jelous of me as I was just starting.
Landed in Cochin, got the airport bus to Fort Kochi for 76p. Queue moutaches, sarris and Indian nappys and it was good to be back! Sri Lanka was amazing but there's something enchanting about India, cant quite put my finger on it!
Recommended my place to Angela the Italian lass week, and on arrival back at the homestay Immanuel tolf me she was still here, but in her Father's homestay. She was meant to leave for Munnar, but there had been another strike. With to the other homestay and she couldn't believe it when I knocked on her door. Got food with her and two other English lasses, quite cold but ok people. Turns out there were paramedics (kind of shows why). Said bye. Bought a mars bar and snickers after from a shop. Could tell strait away they weren't kosher, the wrapper just didn't look right and there was no sign of a nestle sign. Bit into the snickers and found a giant hair coming from the chocolate. Niiiiice.

Went to the Kushi Kafe, and bumped into the English girls. The order was taking too long so I went to get some street found for around a 1/1o of the price. Two somosas, two bread things, a porotta and a cup of chai for /25p. Now that's a breakfast! Looked for an Indian badge to sow on my pack, but was in vein. Its quite popular with backpackers, maybe its just a showing off thing to see 'look where I've been', but its still pretty cool.
Went back to the room and wrote this blog. Got the ferry back to Enakulem and waited for my bus, a 12 hour semi-sleep which shall take me to Mysore.
