Bus ride was good. Had the full day to kill, so made for the Mysore Palace. Didn't open for a couple of hours so followed the signs to the zoo. Must have took a wrong turn and ended up at the circus instead, today was its last day. Bought front row tickets for £2. didn't start till 1pm so went to find the zoo again. 50rs to get in… bargain!!! Best zoo I have ever been in by far. They honestly had every animal of the animal kingdom and it took a good 2 and a half hours just walking around. There was school trip visiting and all the kids kept tried to talk to me, and followed me around like Jesus, getting photos the lot. Afterwards took another long walk and followed the signs to a wax work museum. If only their sign posting was as =good as their attraction. There was the wax museum and the 'horror show'. Both of which were so bad it was sometimes hilarious. Although at sometimes eerily odd. The horror show was basically wax works which reacted to your passing via infra red cameras, so the zombies would start shaking and making noises etc. Reeeeaaal scary ey.
Went back to the circus and honestly cannot describe the event I saw!!!!!!!! The show lasted 2 and a half hours and every minute was mind blowing. Each act lasted 10 mins max, so you were constantly left speechless, with so much variety. The skill on display was honestly mindblowing, it was like Britain's got talent but 1000x better. I was the only white guy in the whole place watching it. Afterwards went to the Palace, such an amazing building. It was 40 for locals, and 200 for foreigners. Got caught taking a photo inside which is prohibited so had to bride the dude 300rs. He claimed I would have to pay 2,000 outside so what the heck. Got autorickshaw back to a youth hostel… 75p a night haha. I had to read all the ground rules first, theres a curfew and the whole place is quite military in both appearance and feel. Lots of other travellers though as well as locals. Met my youngest traveller so far, 19! Legend.

Had breakfast downstairs for 35rs. Went back to the room to honestly find the biggest legend of the trip so far. An aussie guy called Lawrence, of Chinese decent. Turns out hes been travelling for 25 months!!!!!!!!! Spent the whole morning asking him every question under the sun and milking him for advice. Basically got the ultimate rundown as to how to live for nothing. This guy hitchhikes, couch surfs (an online community where you sleep on peoples couches for free) and has even table dived to get some more grub out of his day. (pinching peoples left overs before the wait can get them). Only carriers 3-tshirt (soon to be two as hes going to ditch one) and also uses a filter instead of buying water everyday amongst other things.
